As an example, here is a typical forwarding set-up:
Mail Sent To: | Will Be Received At: |
robert@yourcompany.com | bob@westnet.com |
ssmith@yourcompany.com | samuel@westnet.com |
rjones@yourcompany.com | richard@CAprovider.com |
staff@yourcompany.com |
bob@westnet.com samuel@westnet.com richard@CAprovider.com kathy@westnet.com |
@yourcompany.com (Default) |
kathy@westnet.com |
Bob, Sam, and Richard each have their own address at their company's virtual domain. All four staff members will get mail addressed to "staff". Kathy, the company president, acts as the default. She gets mail sent to any other address, such as kathy@yourcompany.com, sales@yourcompany, or even SantaClaus@yourcompany.com. In this way, no message is ever lost because of a typing mistake.
This example would cost $60 per year. Bob, Sam, and Richard's aliases each count as one. The "staff" address counts as four, one for each person it forwards to, for a total of seven addresses. The default is always included.
